The
SnapServer 620 is affordable storage platforms that provide balanced performance
and flexible capacity scaling. Leveraging dual-core 64-bit processors and your
choice of SAS or SATA hard drives, the 620 efficiently stores both file and
block data over an Ethernet network — allowing you to consolidate your storage
systems and management.
It is ideal for growing businesses with a wide variety of
storage needs. Delivering balanced performance and ease of use in a 1U rack
mount server, these systems are designed to fit a wide range of storage needs
and budgets. They come configured with either 4 enterprise-class SATA II drives
for an initial capacity of up to 8TB or for higher performance requirements, 4
enterprise class SAS drives for an initial capacity of 1.2TB. Capacity is
expandable to an additional 25.2TB of SAS or 168TB of SATA storage. Choose from
RAID levels of 0, 1, 5, 6, and 10 to optimize performance and keep your data
safe.
Built on the award-winning GuardianOS™ platform, the 620
includes many of the capabilities found in more expensive systems such as
snapshots, Microsoft Active Directory (AD) integration, and the ability to be
remotely managed from a central console, along with other SnapServers, with
SnapServer Manager™. By leveraging Snap Enterprise Data Replicator™ (Snap EDR)
software, data can be continuously, securely, and efficiently replicated between
sites over a Wide Area Network (WAN).
With the ability to scale from 1.2TB to 176TB of storage
capacity, you can right-size your storage environment by purchasing only what
you need today, and then expand your system as your storage needs grow. And by
allowing you to mix SAS and SATA drives, the SnapServer 620 enables you to build
a truly customized solution that fits your specific needs.
